Friday Night Kick Back: Todd Rundgren

How do we love YouTube, let us count the ways! Here's some vintage Todd performing the tune "Bread" with the Hello People, a rock and roll mime band. I saw Todd and the Hello People at Carnegie Hall in 1972.

Enjoy!

Todd was such a little genius! I still have my original vinyl Nazz records (in a storage faciility in NYC)
The last I heard of him, he was in Ringo Starrs All Star band in the last tour with Jack Bruce playing bass...that must have been some fun!
I guess I could google a bit and find out more.
I have been discovering the explosion of creativity here inspired by the anti racist reation to the Presidential Candidate Nikola Sarkozi. Something incredible is happening here in France and I am beginning to get really excited about rap....
There's this kid, Abu Malik who has teamed up with the pianist/composer who worked with Jacques Brel......
Diam's, a hefty young Algerian woman who is now being compared to Rimbaud.....
Le Grand Corps Malade...a 6 and a half foot guy with a voice like a rockslide. He is crippled. but he claims he is nott a rap artist but a poet...
These are the biggest record sellers and concert draws in France now!
I have to work hard to even grasp what they are saying, so much slang that I have never heard before.
My wife, who thinks in French translates a lot for me.....

Do any of these musicians have an online presence? They sound fascinating.
